Planning and Research

My main competition is NME and Q Magazine, I have researched their best front covers, interviews, double page spreads and contents pages to better educate myself and make my magazine better.

Resources:
NME magazine

I found that NME interview people in a very casual way like on a sofa etc which I like, they use very casual language too which just makes it all more relaxed

Q magazine

Q interviews are much more informative and formal, I'm not so keen on this style as it seems too forced.  In the interview with Moby, the first 1 minute and 28 seconds were spent with the interviewer talking about the interviewee's past which went on a bit too long.  Despite how formal it was, Moby answered the questions very naturally with an 'erm' or 'like' every minute or so which shows that a more casual approach is the way forward, and the way I intend to do my interview
